Kate Murdoch specialises in music for wellbeing, using 'ilimba' (thumbharps from the Wagogo tradition of Tanzania) and traditional songs, following studies in East Africa. She currently works as a musician in hospital as part of Rhythmix's 'Wishing Well' programme, using live interactive music as a tool for wellbeing at the bedsides of babies and children in hospital and hospices, and with older adults with dementia. Kate's creative work includes the wellbeing film project, 'Relax and Dream', which features seven tracks of beautiful nature and soothing music for healthcare settings and wellbeing at home (available online open source - www.relaxanddream.co.uk), in collaboration with Gani Naylor and Cosmo Sheldrake.
