Musician
Emma is a guitarist and ukulele player. She performed and toured with the Scottish Environmental Arts Theatre Company (in which she played the role of a singing tree) She is currently working with a Harmonessence trio.
Music Leader
She trained with Opus and has extensive experience in facilitating music with people with dementia both in healthcare and community settings, including sheltered housing schemes, day centres and care homes. She is particularly interested in the link between music, memory and identity.
She is passionate about using music as a tool to support people to connect and build relationships and communities. Her counselling background has generated a special interest in attachment, attunement, trauma and bodywork, and she is continually moved and inspired by the profound impact that music making can have on health and well-being.
