Dr Tony Biggin - Chair

Tony studied Music and became a teacher working in all phases of education including the university sector, where he was head of department for 8 years. He was Director of the East Sussex Music Service between 2005 and 2013. In parallel with his work in music education he has worked as a freelance composer, musician and producer. Performances of his work have taken place in prestigious venues such as London’s Royal Festival Hall, with ensembles including the London Philharmonic Orchestra and his music has been commercially recorded and broadcast widely. He has collaborated with distinguished soloists including Bryn Terfel and Evelyn Glennie. During the past 18 months his work has been performed in America, Africa and Europe as well as the UK.
